Swanand Kirkire To Have A Cameo In Vishal Devrukhkar's 'Girlz'

Swanand Kirkire will be seen in a cameo role as a police officer in the movie Girlz which is directed by Vishal Devrukhkar. Kirkire received the best supporting actor award for his role in the Marathi movie ‘Chumbak’ at the 66th National Film Awards

Swanand Kirkire To Have A Cameo In Vishal Devrukhkar's 'Girlz'
The very talented singer-lyricist turned actor Swanand Kirkire will be next seen playing the role of a police officer in Vishal Devrukhkar's much-talked about movie ‘Girlz’.  Kirkire will have a special appearance, but will portray a very important character in the film. The actor said that when he was offered the role for the film he immediately agreed to do it because it was a very different role for him.

The movie Girlz stars Ankita Lande, Ketaki Narayan and Anvita Phaltankar in the lead roles. Vishal Devrukhkar's movie will show the problems of modern girls faced from their conservative family members for a kind of life they live. Parth Bhalerao also plays an important character in the movie. Vishal Devrukhkar last two releases were Boyz and Boyz 2. 


Swanand Kirkire recently was awarded the 56th Maharashtra State Film Awards. He also won the National Film Award for best lyrics for the song ‘Bande Me Tha Dum.Vande Mataram’ from the movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai in 2006 and also for the song ‘Behti Hawaa Sa Tha Who’ from the super hit movie 3 Idiots in 2009. Kirkire also received the Best Supporting Actor award for his role in the Marathi movie ‘Chumbak’ at the 66th National Film Awards. Swanand Kirkire is all set to woo the audience in the movie Girlz which is scheduled to release on 29 November 2019.
